At Annorth AI, we value your privacy and take it seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect data submitted to our platform, especially by students and institutions using the Student Experience Index (SEI) tool.
We are committed to ensuring that all personal data is treated with care, respect, and transparency.
2. What We Collect
For institutions and organizations:
- Institution name, contact email, and registration details
- List of student email addresses (used only for login control)
For students:
- Reflection responses submitted during monthly SEI check-ins
- No names are collected
- No personal identifiable information (PII) beyond a login ID/email
- Optional feedback or notes submitted in free-text boxes
We do not track or collect:
- Student names
- Location data
3. Anonymity by Design
We have designed SEI to be safe, private, and non-invasive:
- ✅ We do not collect student names,
- ✅ Teachers and institutions cannot see who submitted what,
- ✅ Every student's data is processed via an anonymized ID,
- ✅ No one, not even institution admins, can tie data to individual students.
This ensures that students can answer with confidence and honesty, without fear of being identified or judged.
4. Why We Collect This Data
We collect responses to:
- Generate individual reflection reports for the student
- Generate aggregated, anonymized trends for institutions to help improve classroom experience
- Track changes in focus, energy, belonging, and other experience indicators over time
The SEI is non-clinical and is used only to measure behavioral trends, not to diagnose or treat.
5. Who Can Access This Data
- Individual reports are accessible only by the student after logging in.
- Institution dashboards show only aggregate-level data (e.g., per class, per age group), never individual student responses.
- Superadmin team at Annorth AI has limited access to ensure functionality and maintenance, never for third-party use.
We never sell, share, or transfer your data to advertisers or outside agencies.
6. Data Storage and Security
- Data is stored securely on encrypted databases using industry-standard protocols (Supabase + Prisma).
- Access is strictly controlled using OTP-based logins and institution whitelisting.
- Monthly check-ins are timestamped and version-controlled, but never exposed publicly.
- In case of any data breach, we will notify affected institutions within 48 hours.
7. Data Retention
- Data is retained for the duration of the academic year or institutional partnership.
- Upon request from the institution or student, data can be deleted permanently.
- At the end of a partnership term, institutions may export anonymized reports before data is archived.
8. Your Rights
Students and institutions may:
- Request access to their data
- Request correction or deletion
- Request clarification on how data is being used

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. All changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
